春のバザーのお知らせ

まりんかみしばいクラブは、マリンカウンティで活動する子供たちに日本語や日本の文化を伝えたい

お母さん達で作られたボランティアグループです。今回のバザーの目的は、かみしばいクラブのメンバ

―、ルナ　スイーフちゃんのご家族の少しでも助けになれればと、企画しました。

　以下、ルナちゃんのお母さんの陽子さんより

ルナの父ＪＡＲＲＥＬＬ　ＳＩＥＦＦは約２年前から、癲癇（てんかん）と診断され、今まで彼の

発作を抑えるため、数多くの薬を試してきましたが、発作の回数は増えるばかりでした。発作が起

こることにより、言葉や記憶の障害が少しずつ現れています。この現状を改善するため、５月１２日

に癲癇の摘出手術を行うことになりました。色々な不安はありますが、家族のような友達に囲まれて

幸せです。

手術には莫大な費用が掛かります。その費用を負担することは困難ですが、お父さんが元気になるまで

大黒柱になる陽子さんと幼いルナちゃんをを少しでも助けられないかと、かみしばいクラブのママボラ

ンティアは、動きだしました！どうぞ皆様の温かいご協力よろしくお願い致します。

子供たちが楽しめるように、ジャンピーハウス、金魚すくいそれから、お母さんにうれしい夕飯のおかずなども企画しております！当日は、募金箱も設置いたします。現金もお忘れなく！

Join us For   MARIN KAMISHIBAI CLUB’S

SPRING BAZAAR!

Marin Kamishibai Club is a volunteer group of families who live in Marin County and wish to spread Japanese culture to local children. On Wednesday, April 16 we are hosting a bazaar to support one of our members' family during their difficult time.

Here is a message from Yoko Sieff, the woman whose family inspired us to have this event:

Jarrell Sieff, who is my husband and the father of our daughter, was diagnosed with epilepsy two years ago. Despite trying many medications in that time, his seizures have worsened. On May 12 he will undergo surgery to relieve his symptoms. We have many worries but feel grateful to be surrounded by friends who feel like family to us.

 

Please join us for this important fundraiser! We will have a jumpy house for kids, as well as a sale of Japanese prepared foods and home-baked goods, and a small-scale rummage sale.
